Robert K. Leyshon graduated from the University of Iowa in 1991 with Distinction and the University of Iowa School of Law (Accelerated Program) in December 1993. Mr. Leyshon is admitted to practice in the states of Iowa and Illinois and has in the past practiced before the Federal Courts of the Northern District of Iowa, Southern District of Iowa and Central District of Illinois. Mr. Leyshon has also argued before, and reported decisions from the 7th Circuit Federal Court of Appeals and 8th Circuit Federal Court of Appeals. Mr. Leyshon also has reported opinions from the Iowa Court of Appeals and Illinois Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Districts.
Mr. Leyshon concentrates his practice in personal injury law, including:
- Motor vehicle claims
- Construction claims
- Structural work act claims
- Jones Act claims
- Premises liability claims
Mr. Leyshon has tried more than 100 cases to verdict. These cases have been tried before more than 41 different Illinois judges and in 14 Illinois counties; and before more than 17 different Iowa judges, in 7 Iowa Counties.
