VIDEO TRANSCRIPT:Â Under Illinois law, we like to call that the eggshell plaintiff. You have to take a person how you find them.
If you're the type of person who has already been injured and is more susceptible to having an injury than someone else, we call that an eggshell plaintiff, meaning that yes, if you have a back injury before a neck injury and as a result of the auto accident it is made worse, you're allowed to be compensated for that value between what you were before the accident versus how you were after the accident. So yes, preexisting conditions can still be fully compensated.
