Born and raised in the northern suburbs of Chicago, T.J. began his undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri where he earned a place on the Big 12 Conference Commissionerโs Honor Roll as a member of the Tigersโ Big 12 Championship wrestling team. T.J. then moved on to complete his undergraduate studies at Lindenwood University, where he graduated with a Bachelorโs degree in Criminal Justice in 2015. During his time at Lindenwood, T.J. was a national qualifier for the wrestling team, he led his team to victory in the university-wide mock trial competition, and he was a proud member of the National Criminal Justice Honor Society.
In the fall of 2015, T.J. enrolled at the Southern Illinois University School of Law, where he was a member of the Moot Court board, served as Vice President of the Black Law Students Association (โBLSAโ), and received the โCALI Excellence for the Future Awardโ for achieving the highest grade in his Labor Law class. Also during law school, T.J. clerked for another prominent Illinois personal injury firm, where he was part of the legal team that earned an award of $149 million on behalf of a young woman who was paralyzed in a tragic accident at OโHare Airport.
After being sworn in as a member of the Illinois State Bar, T.J. spent time as an associate at a large Chicago firm defending workerโs compensation claims on behalf of major corporations before transitioning to a firm in the northern suburbs where he devoted his focus and energy to representing individuals and small businesses in a wide range of legal matters, including general civil litigation, consumer protection litigation, real estate transactions, estate planning, probate law, family law, and criminal law. T.J.โs practice is now fully dedicated to personal injury law, in which his drive to utilize his education and diverse legal background to assist others is exemplified by his fervent advocation on behalf of his clients.
T.J. is a member of the Lake County Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association. Outside of the office and courtroom, T.J. enjoys spending time with his family, and he is a volunteer coach at Toss Em Up Wrestling Academy in Waukegan, Illinois, which has been recognized as one of the top youth wrestling programs in the country.
